Hello
I'm Kelly and I am the founder/instructor here at Wonder Learning! I'm a mama to four and have spent the last twelve years working in education. My degree is in Elementary Education, Minor in Music and I have a Texas teaching certificate with Science of Teaching Reading.
I adored the days I spent homeschooling my own children, and treasured the time I've spent in both private and public schools, as well as teaching English to students across the globe. Between my professional and volunteer work, I've been fortunate enough to work with over 2,000 kiddos!
After several years in the classroom however, I became keenly aware of the way students were moving through grade levels year after year still lacking essential academic skills, the emotional toll it was taking, and the immense pressure put on our kiddos by standards and testing schedules. I missed the freedom of homeschooling too! I desperately wanted to find a way to offer something better to families in Waco while also getting out of my own rat race. Then I found miscroschooling.
I am so excited to bring everything I've learned to you and help you provide your student with a solid academic foundation in a truly kid-friendly environment.
What is a microschool?
A microschool can be so many things! Ours is a middle ground between private school and homeschooling. For me, it is the answer to the many parents who have said "I wish I could homeschool, but I can't." It is a group of about ten kiddos learning together everyday, forming friendships and growing into the humans they are meant to be. It's the flexibility to take time off, or to come and be a part of your student's day. It's support. It's a village. It's freedom.

Our microschool offers an alternative to traditional education that fosters both academic excellence and emotional well-being. We strive to cultivate a nurturing environment where students thrive at their own pace, equipping them with essential life skills, and empowering them to navigate the future with confidence and purpose.
